This is an outdoor installation at DIA:BEACON, which is a museum located in New York. DIA:BEACON focuses on work by a group of land artists. Their art examines the relationship between tangible sculptures and intangible natural forces, such as sunlight. Land art is best suited to help us contemplate our complicated relationship with nature.
    The sun is the most powerful projector in the world. This installation is activated using only natural forces to create provocative text, which moves and transforms based on the position of the sun. For a small window of time, the abstract reflections come together to reveal a word—“center”. The experience celebrates the moments of those letters coming together and breaking apart, which indicated decentering.
    Multiple tools were simultaneously used.
